Get the Onkyo Hi Fi player for iPhone instead. Works for iPad with the $10 hd upgrade and outputs 196khz from iPad or iPhone to my external Geek 1000 dac. You have to search in iPhone only apple App Store to find it, doesnt show up in iPad apps. Removing Golden Ear from my devices. No developer response ever. Wasted $8. I am disappointed to report that this app does not play 24bit 96khz aiff or wav files on my IPad 4. No sound from the speakers or headphone or USB ports using apple camera control kit. Ive installed it twice. No response from my feedback to the developer. Be aware that there is no recourse or refund other than the developer for an app that does not function. At this point, Im out eight bucks. If he contacts me Ill repost here and let you know. As of this point, dont throw your good money after mine.
Now, in order to just see the contents of an album, I have to add it to queue and switch to queue page. It is really inconvenient. If I want to play just one track, I have to add entire album to queue and remove all other tracks. Queue works in strange way. If I tap track 5, it replaces track 1, and track 1 disappears from queue or moves to the end of queue depending on queue repeat settings. Instead, track order in queue should not change at all when I tap any track, it should just play starting from tapped track.
Golden Ear is by far the best music app I have found for the iPhone. High resolution, lossless audio support? Look no further. The app is stable and hasnt given me any trouble over the year I have used it. Consistent updates make it better and better. Latest update for iPhone 6+ gives you the option of adding music to a que which is think is a game changer. Thank you for making a great music app that brings the lossless iPod to iPhone!
crash city…. can on;y listen to one song at a time…. unable to play albums…. I love this app but something bad happened with the update
if you have many flac or ape files accompanied with cue like I do. this is probably the app for you. One thing I like most about this app is that it allows you to create folders so you separate songs by albums or artist as you like.
The only downside of this app is theres no equalizer so icant tweek my music
This is the only app I found that will consistently play all of my lossless music without unneeded bells and whistles. Just a pure audio player, and a very good one at that
Worth its price.
